Knowing which Amazon brands you’re eligible to sell can be difficult. Your selling permissions can change over time, and checking brands individually is slow—especially when you don’t know which approvals could lead to worthwhile sourcing opportunities.

ArbiSource’s new Restriction Tracker solves this by checking the brands relevant to your Amazon selling account, monitoring how your access changes and automatically attempting to ungate restricted brands.

Focus on brands you can actually source

Amazon contains a huge number of brands, but many are private-label brands or have little relevance to online arbitrage sellers.

Rather than filling your tracker with every brand found on Amazon, ArbiSource focuses on brands where we have previously matched at least one Amazon product to a retail product.

This removes the majority of private-label brands and keeps your tracker focused on brands with genuine sourcing potential.

See where you’re gated and ungated

When you first start Restriction Tracker, ArbiSource checks the relevant brands for your marketplace and builds a personalised view of your selling permissions.

Your dashboard is divided into four useful totals:

  • Brands Tracked – all brands currently monitored for your selling account
  • Currently Ungated – brands you can currently sell
  • Currently Restricted – brands you are currently gated in
  • Ungated by ArbiSource – brands that became available after an ArbiSource ungating attempt

Each total can be selected to filter your brand list instantly.

Restriction statuses belong to the connected Amazon selling account, so account owners and seats see the same information.

ArbiSource automatically attempts to ungate you

Restriction Tracker does more than simply monitor your selling permissions.

Whenever ArbiSource checks a restricted brand, it also attempts to automatically ungate your account. We then confirm whether your access has changed before updating the tracker.

Amazon always makes the final approval decision, so successful ungating cannot be guaranteed. However, the process happens automatically while Restriction Tracker is running, without requiring you to check every brand manually.

Automatically rechecked every seven days

After your initial check, ArbiSource automatically rechecks restricted and newly matched brands every seven days.

You’ll receive an email report after your first check and another email whenever a later run discovers at least one newly ungated brand.

Restriction Tracker also highlights brands ungated during the previous run, making it easy to identify fresh sourcing opportunities without searching through your entire list.

Find the brands worth investigating

Depending on your selling account, you may be ungated in thousands of brands. Restriction Tracker includes search, filtering and sorting tools to help you narrow these down.

For each brand, ArbiSource can display:

  • Results – the number of currently profitable Vault results for the brand
  • Average Sellers – the average seller count across a sample of the brand’s ASINs
  • Average BSR % – the average BSR percentage across sampled ASINs with BSR data
  • Common Category – the Amazon category appearing most often in the sample

These insights are refreshed every 30 days.

You can filter brands by profitable results, average seller count, average BSR percentage and Amazon category. Multi-field sorting lets you prioritise the information most important to your sourcing strategy, while your selected filters are saved automatically between visits.

Discover new opportunities—and worthwhile restrictions

There are two particularly useful ways to use Restriction Tracker.

First, you can find promising brands you’ve recently become ungated in. Filtering for brands with profitable results, suitable competition and stronger average sales ranks can quickly uncover new areas to source.

Second, you can examine your restricted brands using the same data. If a restricted brand has plenty of profitable results and looks suitable for third-party sellers, it may be worth applying for approval manually.

This means you can focus your ungating efforts on brands with genuine sourcing potential instead of choosing brands at random.

Open any brand in the Vault

Select a brand within Restriction Tracker to open its results directly in the ArbiSource Vault.

From there, you can use the usual Vault filters to analyse the latest opportunities and decide whether the brand is worth sourcing. When you’re finished, you can return directly to Restriction Tracker without losing your saved brand filters.
